The road to service in Lionism is long and tests ones determination “To Serve” locally and around the world.  Fresh from the Lions International Convention in Australia our Local Louisville East Lions Club Member District Governor of MD43Y (2 districts in KY & the other is 43K) Bret installed Middletown Lions President Patrick McKinney.

Lion DG Bret is a member of Louisville East Lions Club since 2017, he has served as President of Louisville East Lions Club, Region Chair, 43Y Disaster Relief Committee, Global Lions Forum, and Guiding Lion for the Campus Club at University of Louisville. In recognition of his service, he has received the Global Action Team Chairperson Award, three Lions International Presidential Certificates of Appreciation, and been recognized by the Governor of Kentucky as a Kentucky Colonel for his work in coordinating disaster relief response.

Brett is a 2015 graduate of Radford University where he majored in Recreation, Parks, and Tourism with an emphasis in Outdoor Education. After graduating, Brett served for two years in the US Peace Corps in Eswatini, Africa where he led grassroots projects to promote community health, educate small business owners, and expand childhood literacy.
