Chairperson Lynn Harrelson & Committee Members of the Middletown Lions Club volunteered with the Kentucky Lions Eye Foundation to provide eye screens at Churchill Downs https://www.churchhilldowns.com Fall Health Fair. This event is a Backstretch Recreation event funded through the Kentucky Thoroughbred Association https://www.kentuckybred.org and Churchill Downs with space provided by the Kentucky Racetrack Chaplaincy https://www.kychapalincy.org. Over 25 healthcare vendors provided free screens and/or health related information in the backside workers who participated. During this event, we screened over 55 individuals, referred over 25 individuals for further review and services and provided needed items to many of those were screened.
